It’s almost the one-year anniversary of the date I published my blog post titled “3 Skills that Helped Me Lose Weight ” Sadly, since then I have gained pound after pound… now totaling about a 30-lb gain since then. That is still a net loss of about 30 pounds, however I feel that I could easily gain those back too unless I take some serious action.
I apologize for the long absence from this blog (and my YouTube channel vlog as well). My focus has been terrible. I have started and stopped a hundred times in the past year. I can’t stay motivated. Life is so stressful, and since I work from home with 2 small boys (ages 5 and 1.5), it is so easy for me to make excuses for myself. However, I am growing tired of making excuses for why I can’t lose weight (and literally just GROWING). I have done it before and I know I am capable of doing it again.
Tomorrow is Monday, April 1 and although it’s April Fool’s Day, I am going to be totally honest with myself. I will begin to blog more regularly, sharing both my successes as well as my struggles.
Time permitting, I’d like the new format for my daily check-in posts to include the following points:
- Weight, fat %, muscle % and change from April 1 start
- What I did for exercise or How many steps
- What I ate or calories consumed
- How much water I drank
- Non-scale victories, successes, moments of pride
- Slip-ups, confessions, or things I can improve on
- Photos or photo collages
